Merry Christmas and a Blessed New Year to everyone

Since Michael joined our family this February, much laughter and livelihood were added to our home and family members. It's great to be see the changes in Michael's life every week (or everyday!).

From 5 to 6 bottles of milk every 3 to 4 hours in the first few months, he is now such 

a big eater with 2 regular bottles of milk to begin and end his day, plus 

2 full bowls of porridge, meat, fish, chicken, carrot, vegetable, 

potato, sweet potato, apple, banana and grapes.

From the smiles, laughs, giggles and woo-ahhs, he now loves to initiate a talk 

by asking you: "mei ... ?" (means what?) with his finger pointing at

an object and waiting for you to tell him what it is.

Life is a miracle. Raising a child is the most satisfying mission.

week 23 ~ my first junk trip

lately, the weather is just perfect for junk trip! so last Sunday, out we went...to Clear Water Bay...on a private junk with good friends of daddy and mommy. 


mommy put on sunblock for me and packed everything i needed. the junk ride was very smooth, even at high speed. i spent most of the time on the lower level, got air-con and nice sofa. i didn't cry and even slept for 1 hour! and i met new friends too!!  wooooo... it was fun out in the sea!!

week 15 ~ Lifting my head

i'm in week 15 and finally...able to lift up my head without crying for help. well, mommy has been anxious to put me on my tummy since week 5 or 6, however, i just wasn't ready for it yet back then.

now ? i like my tummy time! thx daddy for being there for me!

week 14 ~ Testing my voice

arrh...hem...ladies and gentlemen, i'm testing my voice and practising my vocal these days ...

can you hear that i can twist and twirl ? daddy and mommy said i could sing songs in Italian when i grow up!

um...how about "o sole mio" ? ^_^

1 May 2011 Thanksgiving Dinner

LET'S CELEBRATE AND GIVE THANKS !

My Daddy and Mommy have arranged a special dinner on 1 May this year as it's a very special occasion to --- "pre-celebrating" my 100 days old (actually, I was only 82 days old then), as well as "celebrating their 2nd wedding anniversary".



82 days old

We hope to take this opportunity to give thanks to God and share with our friends the many blessings God has showered upon our family since day 1 of my birth. My Grandpa also gave a short evangelical message about how trusting God and He will lead you through, even better than your plan.


We invited all our family members and dears friends / wedding party who helped on Daddy and Mommy's wedding, so altogether there were about 9 table of guests! And a surprise was that just before dinner, Rev Chan Young-man walked right outside our banquet hall, so he came in and took picture with me too!!

I am 100 days old!

Thanks to our Heavenly Father ~ I turn 100 days old today ! It seems like not too long ago that I was still in my mommy's tummy. In His time, I was out in this world on 9 February.


Since then, my major activities daily have been (and still are) taking milk, sleeping, and going wee-wee and poo-poo (mommy says it is a must-do everyday).


Gradually, I added a bit of humming, talking with my nose, smiling, swinging my arms and legs and lately, giggling whenever I'm amused with anyone playing with me!

I spent most of my day time my swinging highchair, talking to the light up on the ceiling when no one is around. So I very much look forward to the hour when grandpa and grandma, ma-ma and "gu ma" come to play with me in the middle of the day. They are so kind to come and visit me from time to time.


Really look forward to the day I can talk to them and laugh together....

港禁售雪印日產奶粉

【明報專訊】由於日本雪印奶粉的生產地在群馬縣，今日開始無限期禁止供港，據奶粉包裝資料，受影響產品為雪印SNOW奶粉和Bean Stalk奶粉，但雪印思敏兒因在澳洲製造，不會禁售。

雪印奶粉製造商Bean Stalk Snow株式會社群馬工場，在群馬縣邑樂郡大泉町吉田1201，本報日前聯絡雪印香港公司發言人，獲悉日本雪印日本奶粉供港數量已難確定，港府昨宣布無限期禁止群馬縣的奶製品包括奶粉入口，本報昨截稿前未能獲雪印回覆如何處理訂貨。

至於其他日本奶粉品牌，明治、森永、和光堂、Glico Icreo（固力果）的奶粉製造廠都位於東京，食物安全中心表示，他們繼續監測抵港奶粉，確保輻射水平沒有超標。

真是一線之差！文中提及的日本牌子我全部都曾經考慮過，並問清楚門路如何訂貨等，但不知為何最終挑了澳洲雪印思敏兒。祂的道路真的高過我們的道路！

猶記得我仍在醫院時，主親自用詩三十四篇給我安慰，這小孩是祂所賜，必能叫他吃奶，特別第十節：

少壯獅子還缺食忍餓，但尋求耶和華的，什麼好處都不缺。

感謝主，小Michael不單能如正常小孩般吃奶增磅，現在看來，沒想到小Michael滿月當日正是3.11，遠在日本的地震、海嘯、會變成核危機，並直接影響本港嬰兒奶粉供應？！

此經歷讓我再次深刻體會到，唯獨天父最知道我們的需要，當倚靠且順服祂，衪必將該走的路，應做的選擇(決定 )指示給敬畏尋求衪的人。全是恩典！

我要時常稱頌耶和華，讚美祂的話必常在我口中。34：1

依家我有時抱Michael睡、餵奶或唔知同佢講什麼時，便會背些詩篇，主禱文俾佢聽，願主的話從少藏在他心裡。

Endless blessings series - Roll back to day 1

in my 1st month, i was always wrapped like a sausage roll...

today, mommy wants to go back to day 1 and list out ALL the thanksgivimg items, big and small, in a series.

on day 1 of my birth:
- prayer of mommy answered : the "i am ready to come out signal" came at  6am in early morning after a good night sleep

- admitted at st teresa's hospital by 7am, and the last 3- people room was assigned to mommy by a kind hearted nurse, next one have to take the "6 people room"

- after 9 hours of labour pain, i have to come out by c-section at the end, whereas the operation theater, mommy's doctor and even the anetheiest ( my mommy's best friend's mother) were all available by 6pm, so mommy wouldn't need to bear the every 3 minute pain any longer. then i safely arrived to this world at 6pmish!

- another round of prayers answered : once i got out (crying with my loud voice all over the OT), i heard the doctor said 1) "BB looks like daddy, and 2) he got double eye-lids"!  Then, 3) when they weighted me, i am 7 pounds 2 oz heavy ~ just what mommy asked for ~ above 7 pounds.

- when i first came out from mommy's womb, the doctor said : wow...beautiful BB looks like his dad and he got double eye-lids (like mommy) !

so more to come on the days thereafter soon... = )

Michael turns 5 weeks old

I turn 5 weeks old today and am making lots of sounds. My mom and daddy are trying hard to figure out what I am "oohing or ahhing" about...well, I have no idea either ~ haha ! Can you tell ?

But I'm thankful that I seem to respond well to my mom when she talks to me in the morning (after milk time and before I fall asleep again). I also love to play with my daddy when he returns home (if he got no meeting that night).

Michael turns 1 month old

Thanks to God for bringing to me to this world on 9 Feb 2011 (Chinese New Year Day 7~ a day of everybody's birthday!). By God's grace in overcoming hiccups here and there, I turn 1 month old today!
